Abstract

          The objectives of this research were: 1) to study administration according IV Iddhipadha of abbots in Somdet District, Kalasin Province, 2) to compare the administration according IV Iddhipadha of abbots in Somdet District, Kalasin Province by population data, and 3) to study problems, obstacles and recommendations for administration according IV Iddhipadha of abbots in Somdet District, Kalasin Province

The research methodology was quantitative research, collecting data from 210 samples, by simple random sampling method using questionnaires. Data were analyzed by statistics of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation (SD) Comparisons hypothesis were tested by t-test (t-test) and the analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA)

Findings:

1.       Administration according IV Iddhipadha of abbots in Somdet

District, Kalasin Province was collectively at high level with the average of  3.46. For details on each side, they were found that, Chandha was at high level at 3.68, Viriya was at high level at 3.65, Jitta was at high level at 3.65 and Vimansa was also at high level at the everage of 3.60. 

2.       Comparing people’s opinions towards local administration according to

IV Iddhipa of abbots in Somdet District, Kalasin Province classified by sex and job titles collectively and by each aspect were not significantly different according to statistics set at 0.05 denying the hypothesis. Classifying by education background, it was found that peoples’ opinions towards administration according IV Iddhipadha of abbots in Somdet District, Kalasin Province was significantly different according to statistical setting at 0.05, it hypothesis was confirmed.

3.       Recommendations from people about the administration

according IV Iddhipadha of abbots in Somdet District, Kalasin Province were as follows; Abbots should have developing role to promote virtual principles for people for practice in daily life. There should be cooperation with Provincial Buddhism Office to develop the curriculum for IV Iddhapadha training for the local people to live the good life according to Iddhipadha Dhamma and make it the provincial policy.
