Abstract

            This research is of 3 objectives, namely: - (1) to study the propagation of the Buddhist doctrinal principles through the electronic media, (2) to study the propagation of the Buddhist doctrinal principles through the electronic media taught by Ven.Phramaha Wuthichai Vajiramedhi. (3) to study the way to be applied  the propagation of the Buddhist doctrinal principles through the electronic media taught by Ven.Phramaha Wuthichai Vajiramedhi in Thai societies.

               From the study, it is found that the usage of the electronic media is the way to the doctrinal principles which is of importance and usefulness in propagating the Dhammas in a rushing manner, because the Thai societies are of the tendency to use the social network more and more. Thus, the electronic media is the way to be near the people easily, quickly, and broadly. This way of using the electronic media is in compliance with the Buddha’s teaching methods. However, one who will use this way of the electronic media must be the one who know very well both the worldly and doctrinal matters including the electronic media. The usage of the electronic media should begin with the fixation of the clear purpose, with good volition, with mindfulness, wisdom and carefulness for the best benefit.

               Ven.Phramaha Wuthichai Vajiramedhi’s propagation of the Buddhist doctrinal principles through the electronic media is of principle of the propagation of the Dhammas which is generally popular is Sandassana, Samadapana, Samuttejana  and Sampahansana. The pattern of one-way communication consisting of 4 types: - Dhammikatha, Ovadakatha, Anusasanikatha, and Dhammadesanakatha. The methods of the propagation of the Dhammas, Ven.Phramaha Wuthichai  Vajiramedhi has the plan, the preparation, the proposal and the following up of the results.

               From the way to be applied the propagation of the Buddhist doctrinal principles through the electronic media taught by Ven.Phramaha Wuthichai Vajiramedhi to Thai societies, it is found that Thai societies can apply the electronic media to the propagation of Buddhism such as in the principle of Sandassana, the Thai societies should have the creative ideas, the love of reading, the consideration and the usage of the language easy to be understood. Regarding the principle of Samadapana, one should have the ability in speaking, finding the knowledge and speaking to arouse the people’s interest. Regarding the principle of Samuttejana, one should have a good remembrance, a level of teaching, the speech to rouse the people to see the benefit of following and the speech rousing the listeners to be enthusiastic. Regarding to the principle of Sampahansana, one should have the funny temperament, the plus view point, the usage of the simile and the comparison. According to the pattern there is the fixation the purpose, the public relation and the thought of the target group. According to the methods: - the plan, one should consider the essence, the frequency, the time, the target group and the ability possessed by the personals. Regarding the preparation of the work, one should collect the data, the personnel, the instruments, the media and the fixation of the time. Regarding to the proposing, one should select the media suitable for the doctrinal principles and the receivers of the doctrinal principles. Regarding to the following up of the result, one should check the returned answers, use the material for the measurement of the result and always evaluate the results.
