Temple Management Skills of Abbots in Danchang District, Suphanburi Province

Abstract

ABSTRACT            

             The objectives of this research were 1) to study the opinions of monks towards Skills of Temple Management of Abbots in Danchang District , Suphanburi Province, 2) to study the comparison of the opinions of monks towards Skills of Temple Management of Abbots in Danchang District , Suphanburi Province, classified by personal factors, 3) To study the problems , obstacles and suggestions about the opinions of monks towards Skills of Temple Management of Abbots in Danchang District, Suphanburi Province. The research methodology was the mixed method between the quantitative and qualitative methods. The sampling group of this research was 290 monks in in Danchang District, Suphanburi Province. The tool used for data collection was in depth interview and data were analyzed by using the social sciences programme for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation; SD, t-test and F-test by one way analysis of variance; ANOVA, and test the differences of the average pairing with the Least Significant Difference: LSD by  statistically significant at the 0.05 level. The data analysis was the opened questionnaires and classified the data grouping for analysis and content analysis technique.

The findings of this research were as follows :

           1. The monks had the opinions of monks towards Skills of Temple Management of Abbots in Danchang District, Suphanburi Province. It found that it was at high level for overall( =3.77). When considered in each side found  that abbots had the opinions towards  Skills of Temple Management of Abbots in Danchang District, Suphanburi Province as follows Human Relations skill( =3.87), the conceptual Skill ( =3.83), Technique skill (S=3.77 ), Thought skill ( = 3,71) and teaching skill as the last ( =3.69) respectively.  

2. The comparisons of the opinions of monks towards Skills of Temple Management of Abbots in Danchang District, Suphanburi Province, classified by personal data in overall found that the monks  who had the differences of education. They had the indifferent opinions to the opinions of monks towards Skills of Temple Management of Abbots in Danchang District, Suphanburi Province by statistically significant at the 0.01 level. It was relevant to thypothesis.  But the monks who had the differences of age, ordination year, Dhamma Education, General Education and Pali Education had the opinions towards Skills of Monastery Management of Abbots Indifferently.

           3. The problems, obstacles and Suggestions about towards Skills of Templke Management of Abbots, found that the technique skill of the monks had ability for low technology skill comparing with usage but the human relations skill found that they did not have ability for work management and co-operate with other people efficiently. For the conceptual skill found that the principle of work management was improper, however, the thought skill found that they used the old idea and was not creative and interesting and teaching skill found that they did not have the teaching skill to make the students understanding and should support the abbots to have the temple management in Danchang District, Suphanburi province.

          Suggestion

           1. Technical skills were allocated for technology training. For Savvy In order to bring the technology to use in the management of the temple abbot.

           2. interpersonal skills that offer the expertise of a knowledgeable individual to bring a new administration.

           3. Skills and concepts that will feel comfortable with the principles detailed administrative Buddhist.

           4. The idea that creative presentation skills to handle the new format focuses on management principles based on Buddhist principles.

          5. teaching skills that form of teaching to conform to the curriculum.
