This research paper had 2 objectives; 1) to study the history and structure of Saṁvaṇṇanā in commentary and sub-commentary of Dhammapada, 2) to analyze Saṁvaṇṇanā of in commentary and sub-commentary of Dhammapada. The study was documentary research by taking primary sources from Tipitaka, 8 division of Khuddakanikaya starting from Yamakavagga up to Sahassavagga with its commentary and sub-commentary, concerned documents in Thailand and Myanmar. Data was analyzed, composed in descriptive style.
