A Model of Activities for Enhancing Buddhist Integrative Public Mind on the Public Space of the Youth in Bangkok Area

Abstract

The purposes of this research are:- 1) to study the buddhist integrative public mind on the public space of the youth in Bangkok area, 2) to develop a Model of activities for enhancing buddhist integrative public mind on the public space of the youth in Bangkok area, And 3) to analyze the achievement of the model of activities for enhancing buddhist integrative public mind on the public space of the youth in Bangkok area. This is a quasi-experimental research one group pretest-posttest design. The samples used in this study were the senior high school students of Wat Suthiwararam School, and the students in both levels of vocational and high vocational certificate of Phetkasem Management Technological College. The researcher specifically chose from 21 volunteers who participated in the public mind youth camp. "Doing Good by Heart" There are three types of research tools:- 1) the model of the public mind youth camp consisting of four activities, 2) questionnaires,and 3) behavioral observation.The statistics used in the study were frequency distributions, percentage, mean, standard deviation and  the T test for the purpose of Pre and Post test.

The findings revealed that:- 1) The students had significantly higher level of knowledge on the public mind after participating in the activities than before participating at the .05 level which lead to the development and success of the four additional assigned project., 2) Students have a higher level of public mind behaviors than before joining all activities.,And 3) the achievement of a model of activities for enhancing Buddhist integrative public mind on the public space of youth was found to be appropriate and possible, both in terms of the body of knowledge about public mind, public mind process, and the enhancing of public mind.
