An Application of Sufficiency Economy According to Buddhism of The Local Scholars in Khaw Sub-District Selaphum District, Roi-Et Province

Abstract

             This thesis has 3 main objectives: 1) To study the concept and way of life based on the sufficiency economy philosophy 2) Application Buddhist to the core philosophy of scholars and 3) The study analyzed the lifestyle of sufficiency economy to follow Buddhist doctrines of scholars.

                 The research found that the concept and way of life based on the philosophy of sufficiency economy principle of the royal speeches. 9 “Developing countries need to follow the order. Start by creating a basic or having eaten there before.” The public to "bring professionals to the farmers" just fit enough to eat, "a way of life based on three principles such as (1) do not do evil to follow the five precepts, charity 3 and refrain vices 6 (2) do good deeds by virtue, four Bala (powers), six Reverence, having Discipline and Living careful precaution in the Dharma. (3) Pure mind follows the Three Noble Truths, ten making merits and practice Samatha and Vipassana meditation. But the main principles in Buddhism is The Five Aggregates, the Three Characteristics, twelve senses, Dependent origination, Action, Good friends and Reflective thinking or way of thinking

            The principle of the Buddha Dharma is applied in conjunction with Sufficiency Economy Philosophy such as The Mystical Path (The Middle Way), The  Noble of person (The Qualities of the Good), Ditthadhammikattha (the immediate benefit), the Noble Eightfold Path (the path leading to the cessation of suffering) , Hiri: moral shame; conscience Ottappa: moral dread, self-reliance, four Iddhipada: path of accomplishment; basis for success, Sangahavatthu: bases of social solidarity; bases of sympathy; acts of doing favours; principles of service.

            An analysis of the application of principles in sufficiency economy philosophy of villagers. Four Bhavanas: Body, Moral, Spirituality, and Wisdom. To be used in daily life, enough to eat enough. To be fair enough to share, to spend and save the application of Buddhist principles such as Secluded, Four Consumption Divisions, Utilities such an injustice, House-life happiness/ enjoyers of sense-pleasures/ The happiness of the family, Four holy abidings; sublime states of mind and virtues for a good household life.
