Abstract

Research entitled  Trends of Education Management in Buddhist Psychology:    A case study of Mind Potential for the Future” has the following objectives 1) to study the concept of Education Management in Buddhist Psychology, 2) to study the Education Management in Buddhist Psychology, 3) to present the Trends of Education Management in Buddhist Psychology: A case study of Mind Potential for the Future in the form of a Documentary Research and Futures Research, using the Delphi Technique to analyze and synthesize the Trends of Education Management in Buddhist Psychology: A case study of Mind Potential for the Future by 17 experts to analyze the data with computer using statistics, medians and quartile range.

          The result of the research can be summarized as follows: The Trends in relevant to the Education Management in Buddhist Psychology shall consist of 1) Buddhist Psychology Concept found that there shall be Education Management in the course category of the Spirituality in the Metaphysics, course category of Life in Buddhist Principles to understand the truth of life and the western psychological study focusing on the Humanism theory to study the variance of human, 2) Education Management Concept found that in general, managing the education holds to the educational philosophy’s and education theory’s principles, in particular the course’s theory in order to meet the objective of the Education Management. The future Education Management Concept found that 5 concepts of Mind Potential for the Future are proper for the Education Management in Buddhist Psychology, especially in the current era, which is the educational era of 21st century.

           The Trends of Education Management in Buddhist Psychology shall create 5 concepts of Mind Potential for the Future as follows: 1) Disciplined Mind; the Threefold Trainings shall be integrated in accordance with the psychology studies with the process

 

that facilitates understanding, accessible and able to improve the quality of life, 2) Synthesizing Mind; the wise consideration shall be implied to expand to a new beneficial knowledge to the studies and the society, 3) Creating Mind; the 3 levels of wisdom improvement principles, consisting of the wisdom resulting from study, the wisdom resulting from reflection and the wisdom resulting from mental development, shall be adopted as a multidisciplinary knowledge base for science experiments to substantiate the new discovery, 4) Respectful Mind; the four noble sentiments, consisting of the loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity, shall be adopted in respecting other’s opinion. These principles shall be studied well according to the association with the virtuous and strengthen with the states of conciliation in order to understand the right way of co-existence, creating a good relationship in the society, 5) Ethical Mind;  the 4 mental cultures principle shall be applied in order to develop the psychological quality according to the holistic health principle or imply the 4 mental cultures to enable the access into the next higher Dharma state.
