Abstract

This thesis entitled Developing Adversity Quotient Based on Khanti and Soracca of Secondary Students in Watsukantaram School at Pranakronsiayutthaya Province has three objectives: 1) to study the levels of Adversity Quotient (AQ) before the application of activity based on patience and modesty, 2) to study the development of Adversity Quotient (AQ), and 3) to compare the levels of Adversity Quotient (AQ) before and after the application of activity based on patience and modesty. This is an experimental research. Populations employed in the research were categorized in accordance with sex, family status, parents’ profession of students, Watsukantaram Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. 30 students from first level of Secondary school, Watsukantaram Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province were used. Purposive sampling was used and its research tools were of Adversity Quotient tests and activity based on patience and modesty. In this research, statistics used in analyzing data were of Frequency, Percentage, Average, Standard Deviation, T-Test and F Value including One-Way ANOVA.

The research findings were found that:

1) The levels of Adversity Quotient (AQ) before the application of activity based on the principles of forbearance and modesty of students from the first level of Secondary school, Watsukantaram Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province were at a must level in overall.

2) The levels of Adversity Quotient (AQ) after the application of activity based on the principles of forbearance and modesty of students from the first level of Secondary school, Watsukantaram Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province were at utmost level.

3) In the comparison of the levels of Adversity Quotient (AQ) before and after the application of activity based on the principles of forbearance and modesty of students from the first level of Secondary school, Watsukantaram Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province which was categorized in accordance with individual factors, the difference was not found which was a statistically significant difference at .05. Therefore, this research was accorded with the given hypothesis.
