The objective of this research is to Study the Buddhist wisdom in forest-environmental management in order to analyze the application of Buddhist wisdom in forest-environmental management  and to propose guidelines in the issue of Forest-Environmental Management By Applying Buddhist Wisdom.  The informants are developer monks  appointed by District Forest Office, Provincial Forestry office, National Park District to be  participants in ‘The Forest and environmental conservation’ , to be community leader and to be the central  community for community leaders, Forest officer, National Park’s staff in 17 provinces, 3 regions  as Central, Northeast, North.   Group Discussion consisting of 9 experts, comprised of academic experts and state forest conservation is held.

The research found that

1. Regarding the study of Buddhist wisdom in Forest-environmental management in 3 regions has shown  different pattern of applying Buddhist principles to create wisdoms due to the difference of each region in aspects of forest areas, community areas, community occupations, nature of the forest type, Rich-Dry forests, etc., such as  The central region uses the 5 precepts and the threefold principles to be Buddhist wisdom foundation to create career,  activities,  unity , environmental  training, protection and reforestation, local culture for forest preservation. The principles used  in northeast region is The Four Noble Truths, The 5 Precepts and  The Principles of  Compassion to create Buddhist wisdom. The youth from  temple to parents and  family to have kindness to live together. Alms canteen has been acquired by the government and various temples to console all  consumer  goods donated.  Local clubs are set up for  career and learning profession activities for local members such as food, handicrafts,  tourism sites promotion that bring communities with income, wealth, quality living so that  they can strongly appreciate in cooperation  in nature , forest environment conservation   and help each other without having to induce or force.  Because the use mercy principle, monk  is a giver of wisdom than a recipient that creates  job , create people to be happy with the status quo in order to respond to requests for cooperation in which create faith for the community.

The northern region create local wisdom by using Buddhist principles as perseverance, patience, sacredness, meditation, wisdom, compassion, and morality. Creating wisdom of diligence, patience, perseverance. Giving the shortage and creating the required is valuable act.   Such as the collaboration to create a water source or tap water into community in a manner that ‘who do it ,can use it’ thus resulting in cooperation.  Creation  to fill the shortage with perseverance , patience and the fear of sin.  To do this, the Buddhist principles must be applied to form wisdom of self-creation with the temple to being the main force.  The activities such as creating a tourist attraction,  fitness center,  turn forest era to classroom, deeply touch  the forest nature inside by creating a forest ordination tradition,  tradition of creating a Buddha image in the forest then sending monks to stay in the forest.
2. To analyze the application of Buddhist wisdom on forestry in each region, There are ideas of using different Buddhist wisdom in the principles and concepts. The wisdom therefore is different, divided into 3 forms.
Type 1  Principle of  The 5 Precepts and Threefold Learning
Type 2  Principle of  The 5 Precepts, The 4 Noble Truths,   Mercy and Compassion
Type 3 Principle of perseverance, patience, persistence, canon, meditation, wisdom, mercy and morality.
Each type of principle used in each region has applied the current Buddhist wisdom and it still work.  Therefore  it can be considered as a suitable model according to that nature of the region, community and forest
According to the final objective to present the guidelines for environmental management in forestry by using the Buddhist wisdom as universal practice that can be adapted to all 3 regions with the principles of the Four Noble Truths, 5 Precepts, Mercy and Morality.   Because of each dharma principle refers to reality in humans to being in present, consisting of the Four Noble Truths,  namely the suffering, cause, wrath, noble path.  The 5 precepts is the omission of things that are causing trouble for themselves and others.  The use of all 5 precepts in living together in society. Family members to community members must have mercy and generosity.  And finally, they should ashamed and afraid  of  immoral behaviors and encroachment, exploitation which requires wisdoms from the dharma principle to be further enlightened.
